This site…

is for the original Lance Vaccaro Memorial Ride.

The official site for Ride for Lance, a feature documentary based on the LVMR, is here.

This site will not be updated after this post.  Please visit our Facebook page or the Ride for Lance site for updates.

The LVMR official chase car is now up for auction on EBay. Proceeds of the sale are going to the Naval Special Warfare Foundation. It’s an excellent car in like-new condition, and would be great for students, or someone seeking an around-town car that gets incredible gas mileage. You can see additional pics on the LVMR Facebook page, linked in the right sidebar >>.

EBay Auction

De-brief 1

Team Lance rode nearly 12,000 with virtually no problems; a miraculous feat indeed.

The pictures and photos are still rolling in, and can be viewed on the official Facebook page, found here. You don’t need a FB account to view them.

I’m now compiling the media for the documentary. Updates will be posted here.

Thanks again to all of our friends, families and supporters for the incredible energy and good mojo. We raised a nice chunk of money for the Naval Special Warfare Foundation, and made hundreds of new friends across the country.

Here’s Team Lance, just before launching from Richmond to Va Beach on the final day:

Everyone pray for clear skies (or at least no rain!) today as Team Lance makes it final push to the FINISH LINE!!!  See you at NOON at the Strawbridge Market Center (in front of Fresh! Tapas and Tonic).  More family and friends met up with the team in Richmond last night to ride the last leg of the trip.  Enjoy more of the incredible photos taken along the way. Let me take this opportunity to thank the entire LVMR Team for letting me participate in their journey by helping out with this web site.  I’m the mother-in-law of one of the riders, and a prouder mother there never was.  God bless all of you who rode, rode along, followed the team, provided them food and beds, attended benefits, purchased Lance Gear, and supported them in every conceivable way.

Rain...Again??!!

Team Lance rode into Hickory, North Carolina last night, surviving some wet weather along the way.  This stop was a real “homecoming” as they met up with Lance’s father, and other team family members.  On to Richmond today!!  Be sure to come on down to the Strawbridge Shopping Center on General Booth Blvd in Virginia Beach TOMORROW at HIGH NOON to see Team Lance ROAR home!!!!  What a journey this has been….what an honor to have been a small part of it.

The American Legion Post 24 in Columbus, Indiana turned out in full force for Team Lance.  The team was welcomed with cheers, a hot supper and homemade brownies!  Today, its the last looong leg (500 miles) to Hickory, NC where the team will meet up with other riders and  family members for the final couple of legs.  Team Lance is still on schedule to ROAR into Virginia Beach at noon on Saturday.

Crossed the Mississippi about 3 hours ago!  Officially in the “east”.
